Orbitworks: Powering Tomorrow's Missions from Abu Dhabi

Established in 2024, Orbitworks emerged from a strategic partnership between Abu Dhabi-based Marlan Space and San Francisco’s Loft Orbital, marking a defining moment in the UAE’s space ambitions. As the Middle East’s first commercial satellite manufacturer, we combine global aerospace expertise with regional innovation to deliver complete space solutions that get your mission operational faster than traditional aerospace timelines allow.

Visionary Leadership Driving Innovation

Dr. Hamdullah Mohib leads Orbitworks’ vision as CEO of Marlan Space and acting CEO of Orbitwork, bringing together worlds of technology, diplomacy, and space innovation. A former Intel engineer, World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, and Afghanistan’s youngest-ever Ambassador to the United States, his diverse expertise in scaling complex systems across multiple sectors drives Orbitworks’ ability to deliver complete space solutions, from manufacturing to orbit.

As COO of Orbitworks, Raoul d’Hérouville brings proven leadership from Airbus and OneWeb Satellites, where he managed complex aerospace programs and streamlined production. At OneWeb, he pioneered large-scale satellite manufacturing, overseeing the production of 700+ satellites as COO. His hands-on expertise in scaling operations and driving innovation makes him a valuable asset to Orbitworks.

Strategic Partnerships and Financial Backing

Marlan Space is backed by the Royal Group of Abu Dhabi. Our partnership with International Holding Company (IHC) positions Orbitworks not merely as a service provider, but as a strategic enabler of the UAE’s broader space sector development and technological sovereignty goals.

Proven Expertise Meets Future Innovation

Operating from our facility in Abu Dhabi, we combine Loft Orbital’s seven years of proven space experience with Marlan Space’s vision for sovereign aerospace capabilities. With an initial investment of over $100 million, we aim to produce up to fifty 500 kg satellites annually, establishing new benchmarks for satellite manufacturing speed and quality in the region.
