Dr. Hamdullah Mohib

Acting Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director

Dr. Hamdullah Mohib is the CEO of Marlan Space, an Abu Dhabi-based startup driving the growth of the commercial space sector in the UAE and beyond, and currently serves as the Acting CEO of Orbitworks. With a distinguished career spanning diplomacy, technology, and public service, Dr. Mohib previously served as Afghanistan’s Ambassador to the U.S. and later as National Security Adviser to the President. He began his technical journey at Intel and went on to become Assistant Professor and CTO at the American University of Afghanistan. Recognized as a Young Global Leader and holding a PhD from Brunel University, Dr. Mohib is now focused on advancing innovation and leadership in the global space industry.

Raoul d’Hérouville

Chief Operating Officer

Raoul brings a distinguished career with significant leadership experience at Airbus and OneWeb Satellites. During his time at Airbus, he managed complex aerospace programs and led strategic projects that streamlined production processes, ensuring the delivery of cutting-edge solutions.

 

At OneWeb Satellites, a joint venture between Airbus and OneWeb, Raoul played a critical role in transforming satellite manufacturing. He was instrumental in industrializing and producing satellite prototypes in Toulouse, France, and later led the establishment of one of the world’s first serial production satellite manufacturing facilities in Florida. Under his leadership as COO, the company achieved the successful production of over 700 satellites, solidifying its position as a pioneer in large-scale satellite manufacturing. Raoul’s hands-on experience in scaling operations and driving innovation makes him an invaluable addition to Orbitworks.

Justin Ledbetter

Acting Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Director

Justin Ledbetter is an experienced technology and operations executive with expertise in engineering, startups, venture capital, and product. He has a track record of taking organizations from 0 to 1 and beyond. He currently serves as Acting COO at Orbitworks, where he leads the Business Development, Marketing, Finance and People Ops functions. In addition to his role at Orbitworks, Justin is the COO at Marlan Space, where he spearheads strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the company’s position in the global space ecosystem.

 

Before his current role, Justin co-founded an AI platform to streamline company operations. Justin also started his career as an engineer for Microsoft and later worked in conflict-affected regions, fostering economic development with organizations like Mercy Corps in Libya and Gaza. Justin holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Clemson University.

Pierre-Damien Vaujour

Executive Director

Pierre-Damien Vaujour is a pioneering aerospace entrepreneur and technology leader with over 15 years of experience in the global space industry. As Co-Founder and CEO of Loft Orbital, he has been at the forefront of transforming access to space through satellite infrastructure services, following earlier roles at Spire Global and NASA Ames Research Center where he drove major advances in space systems engineering and commercial space partnerships.

 

With a career spanning Europe and the United States, Pierre has helped secure funding, scale operations, and lead international collaborations in both public and private sectors. In addition to his executive leadership, Pierre also serves as an Executive Director of the Board at Orbitworks, where he contributes strategic vision and deep expertise to guide the company’s mission in shaping the future of satellite technologies.

Manny Crespo

VP Industrial Operations

Manny is the Vice President of Industrial Operations at Orbitworks, bringing over 14 years of dynamic leadership in aerospace, defense, and advanced manufacturing. Known for scaling satellite production and delivering high-impact operational outcomes, Manny previously held senior roles at Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, where he led manufacturing engineering, plant operations, and production excellence initiatives, culminating in the successful delivery of over 650 satellites.

 

With a foundation in industrial engineering and deep expertise in lean manufacturing, program execution, and cross-functional team leadership, Manny has consistently driven transformation and innovation across complex technical environments. He holds an MBA and an MS in Industrial & Systems Engineering from the University of Florida, and a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez.

Rémy Derollez

VP of Infrastructure

Rémy Derollez joins Orbitworks as Vice President of Infrastructure, bringing deep technical expertise and leadership in space systems and satellite operations. Prior to Orbitworks, Rémy spent over five years at Loft Orbital, where he led critical initiatives across RF payload deployment, software development, flight dynamics, and satellite commissioning and operations, including the operationalization of the Longbow satellite platform. Rémy spent some time training at Thales Alenia Space working on the automation of testing processes and at ESA, analyzing interactions between national agencies and NewSpace entities. A former researcher at Stanford University for NASA, his background spans Mars exploration, robust trajectory optimization, dynamical systems, mission control systems, and the design of scalable space infrastructure. Rémy holds a Master’s in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University and a Master’s in Engineering from École Centrale Paris, and is a Fulbright scholar recognized for his contributions to cutting-edge space technologies.

Ali Zarkesh

VP of Programs

Ali Zarkesh is a seasoned space industry executive with over 30 years of experience spanning engineering leadership, project and program management, and satellite AIT operations across both commercial and government sectors. With a proven track record of delivering end-to-end space missions—including seven full satellite and payload programs—he brings a deep understanding of system lifecycles, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. Ali has held leadership roles at leading organizations such as Astroscale, SSTL, and Inmarsat, managing multimillion-pound budgets, international supplier relationships, and technically complex programs across LEO, MEO, and GEO domains. His background also includes product strategy and development, as well as high-level consultancy with agencies like ESA, UKSA, and DSTL. Holding a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of London and prior PRINCE-2 accreditation, Ali combines strategic vision with hands-on delivery. We are excited to welcome Ali to Orbitworks as our new VP of Programs, where he will lead program execution and strategic delivery across our mission portfolio.

Mohamed Alkarbi

AIT Director

Mohamed joins Orbitworks as an experienced satellite AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Testing) and operations manager, bringing close to 7 years of expertise in the space sector.
Beyond his role at Orbitworks, Mohamed serves as a Board Member of the UAE Space Agency, where he contributes to the strategic direction and development of the UAE’s national space ambitions. His leadership extends to his previous role as Program Manager at the National Space Science & Technology Center (NSSTC) at UAE University. There, Mohamed was instrumental in developing advanced satellite testing facilities, significantly supporting the UAE’s aspirations in space exploration and innovation.

 

Mohamed’s technical expertise, coupled with his dedication to precision and quality, strengthens Orbitworks’ ability to deliver high-performance satellite solutions efficiently and effectively.

Salim Al Alawi

Business Development Director

Salim is a seasoned business development leader with extensive experience in the satellite communications and space industry. He brings a strong track record of driving strategic growth and forging key partnerships during his tenure at Space42. Prior to this, he held various leadership roles at Yahsat Space Services over a decade, where he spearheaded government solutions, managed high-value programs, and played a pivotal role in expanding Yahsat’s product portfolio.

 

His expertise in budget management, strategic planning, and market expansion has contributed to multi-million-dollar revenue growth and positioned organizations for long-term success. Salim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Virginia Tech, further reinforcing his technical and business acumen in the industry.

Rajan Gupta

Configuration Manager

Rajan Gupta is an accomplished aerospace professional with over 16 years of experience in configuration, change, and project management across the aerospace & defense industries. Currently serving as Configuration Management Manager at Orbitworks in the UAE, Rajan has played key roles in major international aerospace programs (Boeing CH-47, Boeing AH-64, Boeing 777, Airbus 320, Bombardier Q series, CRJ Series & SARAS first Indian multi-purpose civilian aircraft) with organizations such as Boeing, Bombardier, Tech Mahindra, Tata Advanced Systems, and the National Aerospace Laboratories (R&D). His expertise spans end-to-end configuration management change control, project management and the stabilization of complex engineering projects through structured change management. Rajan’s leadership has been instrumental in enabling smooth global business transitions and ensuring compliance within highly regulated environments. Holding a Bachelor of Technology in Aeronautical Engineering, he is also certified in Aircraft Maintenance, Scrum Master, and QMS ISO 9001—reflecting his commitment to innovation, precision, and operational excellence in the aerospace & defense sector.

Ralph Koyess

Business Development Director

Ralph is a Business Development Director at Orbitworks, where he leads strategic growth initiatives across the satellite and aerospace sector. With over 15 years of experience spanning defense, intelligence, geospatial technology, and advanced engineering, Ralph has held pivotal roles at organizations such as Planet – where he led Defense & Intelligence operations in MENA – and Orbital Insight, Oxford Space Systems, and the Renault F1 Team.

 

His technical foundation is rooted in a career that began as a researcher at NASA and as a performance engineer in Formula 1. Ralph holds an MBA from INSEAD and an MSc in Motorsport Engineering and Management from Cranfield University.

Biny Ninan

Finance Director

Biny Ninan is a seasoned finance leader with nearly two decades of experience across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and European markets, spanning oil and gas, fintech, trade finance, private equity, and healthcare. Before joining Orbitworks, she led Corporate Finance at Euro Mechanical and held senior finance roles at Incomlend and TVM Capital Healthcare, driving M&A, treasury, fundraising, and cross-border investment strategies totaling over USD 400 million. She began her career with EY, where she built a strong foundation in audit, financial controls, risk assessments, and corporate governance.An ACCA Fellow and a UAECA-certified professional, Biny also holds the Certified Global FP&A credential and a commerce degree from Christ University, Bangalore. She is an ACCA Mentor and Founding Member of the Young Professionals Club, fostering thought leadership and mentorship across industries. She is deeply committed to building capable teams, strengthening governance, and fostering collaboration to deliver lasting financial and operational impact.

Sharat Devisetti

Supply Chain Director

Sharat is a seasoned procurement and supply chain leader with over two decades of international experience spanning the chemicals, industrial gases, and energy transition sectors. Currently serving as Supply Chain Director at Orbitworks in the UAE, Sharat has driven major transformation and category management initiatives across multinational organizations, including Air Liquide and PIF-backed firms.

 

With an Executive MBA from HEC Paris and a technical foundation in industrial and systems engineering, he specializes in procurement digitization, process automation, and strategy formulation. Sharat is known for his ability to lead complex projects, optimize operational workflows, and implement sustainable procurement strategies that enhance efficiency, vendor performance, and bottom-line results.

Rabia Nasrallah

Head of People Ops and Recruiting

Rabia  is a seasoned HR and talent acquisition leader with over 9 years of experience spearheading people operations across fast-scaling tech companies in the MENA region. Currently the Head of People Operations and Recruiting at Orbitworks, Rabia brings a deep understanding of what it takes to build resilient, high-performance teams in dynamic, growth-driven environments. Her expertise spans the full spectrum of talent strategy, from employer branding and leadership hiring to organizational development and retention, developed through key roles at Retailo Technologies and Stella Stays, where she led people operations in multiple markets. Rabia has successfully driven HR transformation and talent growth across Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, the UAE, and Egypt, aligning people strategy with business objectives in complex, multicultural settings. With a passion for fostering purpose-driven workplace cultures and scaling startup ecosystems, Rabia continues to play a critical role in shaping the future of work in the region’s tech landscape.

Imola Koos-Hutas

Marketing & Communications Manager

Imola is a dynamic marketing and communications professional with extensive experience across the defense and aerospace industry in the UAE. She specializes in B2B and B2G marketing strategy, brand positioning, event management, and complex project execution. Her career spans senior roles at leading organizations, including NIMR Automotive, EDGE Group, and Ajman Free Zone, where she managed large-scale rebranding initiatives, high-profile industry events, and digital transformation projects.

 

A certified digital marketer with post-secondary education from Imperial College Business School and the University of Wollongong, Imola brings a results-driven approach to marketing, blending analytical expertise with creative strategy to drive brand growth and engagement in competitive global markets.

Mohanraj Jayaraman

Head of Facilities

Mohanraj is a senior project management and maintenance leader with over 20 years of experience across aviation, space, and defense sectors. Currently serving as Head of Facilities at Orbitworks in Abu Dhabi, he brings a rich background in managing complex infrastructure systems, including airport systems, clean rooms, and data centers, backed by a deep foundation in mechanical engineering.

 

His career spans key leadership roles at Oman Airports and GMR Airports, where he spearheaded multi-disciplinary MEP projects, facility readiness programs, and operations transformations across major airports in Muscat, Salalah, Duqm, and Hyderabad. With credentials such as PMP, Chartered Engineer, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Mohanraj is recognized for his technical excellence, stakeholder alignment, and cost-efficient operations strategies that drive long-term value and operational resilience.

Test Infrastructure Engineer

Barbara Georgey is an accomplished engineering leader and innovation specialist with a track record of designing scalable, automated testing solutions for complex embedded systems across the automotive and electronics industries. With a degree in Electronics Engineering from the German University in Cairo, she combines a deep technical foundation with a passion for creativity, process optimization, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Barbara has held senior engineering and technical lead roles at Luxoft and Valeo, where she pioneered automated validation frameworks for ADAS platforms and developed standardized test management systems deployed globally. Her work spans system validation, platform integration, CI/CD pipeline development, and compliance with ISO and ASPICE standards—delivering up to 90% reduction in manual effort and significant quality improvements. She is also known for her mentorship and thought leadership, empowering teams to embrace innovation and challenge the status quo. Fluent in Arabic and English with working knowledge of French and German, Barbara brings a global mindset and creative energy to every project. We are thrilled to welcome her to Orbitworks as our new Test Infrastructure Engineer, where she will play a key role in advancing the reliability and automation of our testing ecosystems.

Aura Martinez

Aura Martinez is a results-driven procurement and supply chain professional with over seven years of international experience optimizing sourcing strategies, supplier performance, and cost efficiency across multiple industries. Currently serving as a Buyer at Orbitworks in Abu Dhabi, Aura has built a proven record of success leading end-to-end procurement operations in multinational environments, including with global companies such as Nestlé, Philips, Siemens, and Tommy Hilfiger. Her expertise spans direct and indirect procurement, strategic negotiations, vendor management, and process optimization using SAP and ARIBA systems. Jennette joins Orbitworks with a solid background in aviation and space technology logistics. With over a decade of hands-on experience in receiving inspection, inventory control, and supply chain operations, she has contributed to prominent aerospace organizations including Abu Dhabi Aviation and Airbus Helicopters.

 

Her expertise encompasses technical storekeeping, aviation procurement, and maintenance planning, rooted in a Bachelor’s degree in Avionics Technology and further reinforced by her pursuit of a Master’s in Supply Chain Management at the Swiss School of Management. Known for her precision, adaptability, and commitment to mission-critical operations, Jennette brings operational excellence to Orbitworks, supporting cutting-edge innovation in satellite manufacturing and beyond.

Radha Vedanayagam

Radha brings over a decade of specialized experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, and contract management within the aviation, aerospace, and technology sectors. With certifications from CIPS and CICCM, along with a background in both engineering and business law, she has consistently delivered results across complex supply chain environments.

Mohamad Rajab ElKarim

Logistics and Transportation Specialist

Mohamad Rajab ElKarim is an expert Supply Chain Professional with over a decade of experience driving logistics, procurement, and operations efficiency across the MENA region. Currently serving as Logistics and Transportation Specialist at Orbitworks. He has hands-on experience throughout his career in a leading building material manufacturer in UAE, KSA, Egypt & Lebanon, leading end-to-end supply chain initiatives optimizing land, sea, and air freight operations and enhancing regional distribution networks.He holds multiple professional certifications, including CISCP and CISCM from IPSCMI, and a Certified Customs Expert (CCE) from CILT through Dubai Trade. Mohamad earned his BBA in Marketing and Finance from Amity University Dubai, combining business acumen with operational expertise to build agile and cost-effective logistics systems.

Shyam Sankar Ck

Senior Test Technician

Shyam Sankar is a seasoned electronics and systems integration expert with over 13 years of experience in satellite and electro-optical systems. Currently serving as a Senior Test Technician at Orbitworks, he leads electrical integration, harness fabrication, and Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) operations within cleanroom environments to ensure aerospace-grade precision and reliability. His prior roles include Senior Electronics Engineer at Optica, where he spearheaded the integration of cloud and mid-air LiDAR systems as well as FTIR spectroscopy platforms, demonstrating advanced capabilities in aligning optical, electronic, and mechanical subsystems. During his 11-year tenure with Alpha Design Technologies, Shyam played a pivotal role in the assembly, integration, and testing of ISRO satellite subsystems and electro-optical devices, managing everything from ground support equipment to system calibration and field validation. He holds technical credentials in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, and certifications in Occupational Health & Safety, ISO standards, and Hazard Risk Assessment.

Faizan Nawaz

Mechanical Engineer

Faizan Nawaz is a seasoned Mechanical Engineer with over 11 years of experience in the aerospace, defense, and polyplastics industries. Currently a Lead Mechanical Technician at Orbitworks in Abu Dhabi, he specializes in high-precision mechanical assembly, CAD/CAM design, and satellite AIT (Assembly, Integration & Testing), with deep expertise in cleanroom protocols, aerospace quality standards, and satellite subsystem integration. Prior to this, he led manufacturing at Electro Optic Systems, contributing to the integration of armored vehicle kits, process documentation, and technician training. Faizan also served as a CNC Setup Technician at EPI, where he executed advanced machining operations and conducted NC and process validations. His career began as a CAD/CAM Engineer at Master PPRC, where he developed mechanical components and supported product design to international standards. He holds a Bachelor of Technology and an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering from PBTE, Lahore, and is certified in CATIA V5 and AutoCAD. Faizan is proficient in GD&T, reverse engineering, quality inspection, and technical leadership across diverse manufacturing environments.

Jill Zalat

Satellite Operations Engineer

Jill Aghyourli Zalat is a skilled Satellite Operations Engineer with experience spanning aerospace mission operations, research, and emerging technologies. Currently supporting commercial mission operations at both Orbitworks and Loft Orbital, she has contributed to satellite programs in Toulouse, Abu Dhabi, and Canada. Jill previously served as an International Mission Operations Engineer at MDA Space, where she led operational readiness and supported satellite mission execution. Earlier in her career, she conducted innovative research at Ryerson University, developing k-means clustering algorithms for indoor wireless mapping. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering – Mechatronics from Ryerson University and has further specialized in XR Development with Unity. Jill combines hands-on satellite operations expertise with strong programming and analytical skills, positioning her to drive mission success in dynamic space environments.

Nithin Mathew

Production Planner

Nithin Mathew is a seasoned supply chain and production planning professional with over a decade of experience in manufacturing operations, material planning, and process optimization. Currently serving as a Production Planner at Orbitworks in Abu Dhabi, Nithin specializes in streamlining end-to-end manufacturing workflows, reducing lead times, and driving continuous improvement across high-mix production environments. His expertise spans MRP execution, master data management, KPI reporting, and cross-functional coordination, supported by proficiency in SAP, JDE Oracle, Power BI, and advanced Excel analytics. Before joining Orbitworks, Nithin held key planning roles at Emerson, Weatherford, and RAK Ceramics, where he managed multi-million-dollar projects and implemented automation-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Holding a B.Tech in Production Engineering and pursuing an MBA in Supply Chain Management, he combines technical insight with strategic planning to ensure operational excellence and on-time delivery in complex industrial settings.

Ronak Chauhan

Finance Operations Specialist

Ronak Chauhan is an accomplished finance professional with over a decade of experience in management accounting, financial analysis & operations, audit, payroll, taxation, accounts payables management and statutory compliance across diverse sectors including recruitment, consulting, education and manufacturing industries. Currently serving as a Finance Operations Specialist at Orbitworks in Abu Dhabi. Prior to this, he held key financial roles at Hays and TASC Outsourcing in Dubai, driving efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and process improvement. Mohamed Asif

Manufacturing Engineer

Mohamed Asif Shagul Hameed joins Orbitworks as Manufacturing Engineer, bringing over a decade of aerospace manufacturing expertise. He most recently served as Senior Manufacturing Engineer at STRATA Manufacturing PJSC, prevoiusly led structural project manufacturing for Boeing’s 767/777 programs, and held key roles at Tata Advanced Systems and Taneja Aerospace. Mohamed holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Aeronautical Engineering from Hindusthan Institute of Technology and will leverage his extensive experience to optimize production processes and advance our satellite manufacturing capabilities at Orbitworks.

Janaiane Santos

Office Manager

Janaiane Santos joins Orbitworks as Office Manager, bringing over a decade of experience in administrative operations, financial coordination, and client relationship management across diverse sectors in Brazil, Ireland, and the UAE. Known for her organizational precision and solutions-oriented mindset, Jana has streamlined workflows, optimized expense tracking, and supported multi-store operations and lease management with a strong focus on compliance and efficiency. Her background includes key roles at Stella Stays, where she managed real estate and leasing processes, and Ortobom, where she oversaw retail operations, budgeting, and internal communications. Jana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Faculdade IESCAMP and is deeply committed to fostering operational excellence and team collaboration at every level.

Zaldy Diez

Receiving Specialist

Zaldy Diez is an experienced logistics and receiving specialist with a strong background in aviation and supply chain management across the Middle East. Currently serving as a Receiving Specialist at Orbitworks in Abu Dhabi, Zaldy brings over 15 years of expertise in aviation logistics, technical supply coordination, and warehouse operations. His career spans key roles at Falcon Aviation Services, Abu Dhabi Aviation, Saudi Red Crescent Air Ambulance and the Kuwait Police Air Wing, where he played vital roles in managing aircraft materials, inventory, and technical supplies. Known for his attention to detail, operational discipline, and certified Dangerous Goods (DG) handling capabilities, Zaldy consistently upholds safety and efficiency in complex aviation environments. He holds an academic foundation in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and technical training in applied maintenance from Dual Tech, reflecting a blend of engineering knowledge and hands-on logistics proficiency.

Adil Mahroof

AIT Intern

Adil Mahroof is an emerging aerospace engineer passionate about advancing space technology and propulsion systems. Currently an AIT Intern at Orbitworks in Abu Dhabi, Adil brings hands-on experience in spacecraft assembly, integration, and testing, complemented by prior work with the HALCON rocket propulsion team. A graduate of UAE University with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, he has explored diverse fields including propulsion, aerodynamics, and control systems, culminating in the design and fabrication of a VTOL UAV as his capstone project. Beyond technical expertise, Adil has served as a CubeSat Development Instructor at SpacePoint and a Future Sustainability Leader with Masdar, reflecting his commitment to education and sustainability in the space sector. A recipient of multiple awards, Adil exemplifies curiosity, adaptability, and a forward-looking mindset aimed at contributing to the next era of space exploration and innovation.
