Suranjan Mallick joins Orbitworks as our Lead Mechanical & MGSE Engineer!

Suranjan Mallick is a distinguished mechanical and systems engineer with over 12 years of cross-disciplinary experience in aerospace, robotics, IoT, and automotive sectors. Based in Bengaluru, he has led structural and mechanical systems design for spacecraft, lunar landers, orbit transfer vehicles, and robotic systems, contributing to major programs with organizations like Redwire Space, Space Machines Company, and TeamIndus (Axiom Research Labs). At TeamIndus, he played a pivotal role in the Google Lunar X Prize mission, leading the spacecraft’s structure and mechanism efforts from concept to qualification. Suranjan holds a Master of Technology in Mechanical Engineering Design from IIT Bhubaneswar and is known for his deep technical insight, leadership in complex system integrations, and ability to drive innovation from prototyping to flight-ready hardware.

Mohamed Asif Shagul Hameed joins Orbitworks as our Manufacturing Engineer!

Mohamed Asif Shagul Hameed joins Orbitworks as Manufacturing Engineer, bringing over a decade of aerospace manufacturing expertise. He most recently served as Senior Manufacturing Engineer at STRATA Manufacturing PJSC, previously led structural project manufacturing for Boeing’s 767/777 programs, and held key roles at Tata Advanced Systems and Taneja Aerospace. Mohamed holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Aeronautical Engineering from Hindusthan Institute of Technology and will leverage his extensive experience to optimize production processes and advance our satellite manufacturing capabilities at Orbitworks.
